VIGIL WITH THE BODY OF CHRIST: Thursday, March 29 from 8:30pm-midnight and Friday, March 30 from 6am-Noon
Jesus asked his friends to come sit and keep watch with him before his trial. He continues to invite us. Keep an hour’s watch in the Chapel on Maundy Thursday evening 8pm-midnight, or on Good Friday 6am-noon. There will be quiet, readings, and prayers to fuel your meditation, and light refreshments to fuel your body. A staff person will be in the building at all times.
Sign up: on the form in the back of the church or at this online form.
Questions: contact Gwen Odney at email@example.com or Elaine Eyre at firstname.lastname@example.org.
GOOD FRIDAY: Friday, March 30 at Noon & 7pm
With Communion from the Reserve Sacrament.
HOLY SATURDAY: Saturday, March 31 at 9am
A short liturgy of prayers, reflection, and quiet. It will be held in the choir stalls. Communion is not served at this service. Rather, it is an opportunity to pause and reflect during the busiest week of the Church year. As the body lies in the grave in its final hours, we prepare ourselves through contemplation and prayer, to receive with gladness the Resurrected One in our midst again. If you’d like to know more you can contact Bob Linehan at email@example.com.
