Cutters and stitchers are encouraged to join us on Saturday, January 19 from 10am–2pm at Cammie Beattie’s home to sew reusable menstrual supplies and assemble kits.
When girls in developing nations don’t have access to menstrual supplies, they are forced to miss school, falling further and further behind their male counterparts. Sometimes they are even left with no option but to drop out of school entirely. Reusable menstrual kits from Days for Girls empower girls to continue their education uninterrupted.
Donations of small soaps, dark colored wash cloths and girl’s (sizes 8-12) and women’s (sizes small and medium) underwear are also needed.
