» Instructed Eucharist

Many of us at St. John’s who grew up in other faith traditions (and even some cradle Episcopalians!) have questions about our liturgy. What is the meaning behind our words and rituals? Why do we do what we do?

To illuminate these answers, the Faith Formation commission will be presenting two Instructed Eucharists: real-time worship commentary that sheds light on the various elements of the service.

On June 16, our 9am Formation Hour will show the How2charist videos (a digital version of Instructed Eucharist) on the Liturgy of the Word. (You can watch them at home instead, at www.how2charist.com.) The first half of our 10am worship that day will be an Instructed Eucharist.

On June 23, our 9am Formation Hour will show the How2charist videos on the Liturgy of the Table. (You can watch them at home instead, at www.how2charist.com.) The second half of our 10am worship that day will be an Instructed Eucharist.
