We’re Giving to God and Our Neighbors

CLOTHING DRIVE AT HALLIE Q BROWN

The clothing closet at HQB Community Center is constantly in need of new, packaged underwear and socks for children and adults, in all sizes, and especially for men. During the month of October, St. John’s will be gathering donations, and encourages you to help your neighbors in need. Drop your donations in the bin labeled “Food Shelf” in the Kent St. lobby or the Narthex (at the back of the church.)

Questions: Gwen Odney, gnodney@icloud.com.

ADULT VOLUNTEER NEEDED

Sundays at 9am, Music Room

To be compliant with Safe Church policies, we need one additional adult present in the room while the Children’s Choir is rehearsing. This is a great way to get to know our kids better, and maybe even learn a little Music Theory along with them. You don’t need to be a parent to help out.

To volunteer: richard.gray@stjohnsstpaul.org.

SAFE CHURCH TRAINING

Safeguarding God’s Children: Saturday, October 12 from 9am-12 noon

We strive to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for children, youth, and vulnerable adults. We require Safe Church training for ministry leaders, keyholders, and some volunteers. The Episcopal Church in Minnesota updated their policies to require renewal every THREE years. Contact the office to find out if you need to take or renew a class.
