CYF VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Volunteering for Children’s and Youth ministries gives you an opportunity to get to know our young people, recognize the importance of youth at St. John’s, and build up our parish’s one body of worship.Help our children feel seen and welcomed as they build a faith that “sticks” into adulthood.

Godly Play Greeters: welcome children into the classroom, ensure everyone is comfortable and ready, and then observe the lesson. Anyone in ninth grade or older is welcome to volunteer. Ideal time commitment is once per month, but it is very flexible. Training is provided!

To volunteer: Katie Madsen, cyf@stjohnsstpaul.org.

Godly Play Storytellers: share the selected Bible story for the week and engage children in “wondering questions.” The classrooms will be open Fridays to practice the week’s story and  hands-on components if you want. The ideal time commitment is once per month, but it is very flexible. Anyone eleventh grade or older is welcome to volunteer. Training provided!

To volunteer: Katie Madsen, cyf@stjohnsstpaul.org.

Youth Group: We are seeking adult volunteers to join in on Youth Group Meetings, Wednesday evenings from 6pm-8pm. Simply welcome our youth and be present with them during their group discussions.

To volunteer: Katie Madsen, cyf@stjohnsstpaul.org.

OFFICE HELP

Do you enjoy drinking coffee, reading, and saying hello to people? You can do all that AND MORE as an office volunteer! The church office needs people to staff the front desk on a somewhat regular basis, especially, Wednesday afternoons and Thursday mornings. You’ll mainly greet visitors and occasionally stuff envelopes and assist with other projects. Help us be a church where we see, notice, and welcome everyone coming through our doors.

To volunteer: elizabeth.watkins@stjohnsstpaul.org.

HELP ASSEMBLE THE EVANGELIST

Thursday, August 22 at 9am, Church Office

Extra hands are needed to get the Evangelist magazine ready for mailing. It’s easy and fun! Training and coffee provided.
For info: elizabeth.watkins@stjohnsstpaul.org.
