MORNING EUCHARIST: Monday-Friday, March 26-30 at 7:30am in the Chapel
With homilies by guest preachers from the congregation, speaking on loss, death, and the hope of the resurrection.
MAUNDY THURSDAY: Thursday, March 29 at 7pm
With foot-washing & stripping of the altar.
GOOD FRIDAY: Friday, March 30 at Noon & 7pm
With Communion from the Reserve Sacrament
HOLY SATURDAY: Saturday, March 31 at 9am
A short liturgy of prayer, reflection, and quiet.
THE GREAT VIGIL OF EASTER: Saturday, March 31 at 7pm
With baptisms, lighting of the new fire, and reading of our salvation history. A festive reception follows.
SUNDAY, APRIL 1 at 8am & 10am
10am will be a festal Eucharist with choirs, brass and timpani.
THURSDAYS at 7pm in the Chancel
A candlelit service of prayers and chanting. Incense is used.
Note: no Sung Compline on March 29.
EVENSONG AT THE CATHEDRAL
TODAY at 5pm at St. Mark’s
Cathedral, 519 Oak Grove St, Minneapolis
St. John’s adult choir will be singing Evensong with music of John Graham, Gibbons, and Poulenc. St. John’s parishioners are all invited to attend this beautiful service and support our choir.
ARTARIA STRING QUARTET
SUNDAY, APRIL 8 at 10am
The Artaria Quartet will join us for 10am worship, playing music of Mozart and more.
FRIDAY, APRIL 13 at 7:30pm in the Church
Sophia Vastek, an active performer on the East Coast (and daughter of Sonya Sutton) will present a moving program of music in conjunction with stories pulled together by the Rev. Barbara Mraz.
SUNDAY, APRIL 15 at 4pm in the Church
This will be Interim Director of Music Sonya Sutton’s last day with us. Come to this service of Evensong when we will “pull out all the stops,” so to speak! A festive reception will follow.
STATIONS OF THE CROSS
in the Chapel
The chapel contains a permanent installation of the Stations of the Cross drawings by Sister Julian Smith-Boyer, accompanied by a booklet. We invite you to “walk along” the Way of the Cross any time the church is open and available, especially during Holy Week.
LISTENING TO THE SAINTS
SUNDAYS at 9am in the Fireside Room
We remember the saints for being like us: humans striving each day to follow Christ. Come reflect on the lives of saints past and present.
VIGIL IN THE CHAPEL
BEGINNING MAUNDY THURSDAY, MARCH 29
Keep an hour’s watch on Maundy Thursday evening or Good Friday morning. There will be quiet, readings, and prayers to fuel your meditation, and light refreshments. A staff person will be in the building at all times.

SAFE CHURCH TRAINING
SATURDAY, MARCH 24 from 9am-Noon
SATURDAY, APRIL 7 from 9am-Noon
The March 24 class is “Safeguarding God’s Children.” Everyone who works with children or youth, as well as vestry members, committee leaders, and key holders, is required to attend the training every 5 years.
The April 7 class is “Safeguarding God’s People.” Vestry members, and those who work with vulnerable adults, are required to attend the training every 5 years.

FOOD SHELF COLLECTION
RESUMES EASTER SUNDAY, APRIL 1
Thanks to dedicated parishioners, we will once again be collecting food donations at St. John’s. We still need two volunteers to deliver donations.
Look forward to bins in the narthex and gathering space, and other opportunities for outreach at the Hallie Q. Brown Community Center.
