Professor of English Literature at Hamline University, Dr. Jermaine Singleton will discuss Baldwin’s nuanced exploration of the relationship between Christianity and African American communities through the prism of historical racial grievance, melancholy, resilience, and gender order.

Two Give Us Wings volunteer trips to Uganda are being planned for 2019. These service trips emphasize creating awareness about poverty and development in rural Uganda. Much of the time is spent volunteering at St. John’s Kayoro Health Center. Scholarships are available.

Honor a family member or mentor, or give in memory of a departed loved one with a gift towards the cost of the Christmas greens decorating the church.
