COVID Safety Protocols at St. John’s

At St. John the Evangelist, the health and safety of our community is a priority. We have been constantly adapting our COVID-19 protocols to reflect the recommendations of public health officials and the Episcopal Church.

Our current safety protocols are:

  • Masking in worship is strongly recommended but not required, especially for those most susceptible to the virus.

  • We will practice “Holy Assent”; checking with others near us before removing our own masks (in groups and 1-on-1 meetings), before standing close, shaking hands, etc.

  • Educate our members about healthy practices and display signage about symptoms with a request to stay home if symptomatic.

  • Use the transept altar for Eucharist, so parishioners are not passing through the Chancel where choir members are singing.

  • All paid personnel/staff are up to date and current on their Covid-19 vaccines and boosters, and encourage you to do the same.
