Children, Youth, and Family Ministry Needs Your Help!
Our nursery, Sunday School, and youth group are all looking for volunteers. We need a certain number of adult helpers for every activity to comply with Safe Church guidelines, which is a very important part of caring for each other in community. Contact Rev. Youth Kick Off & Worship Training
Wednesday September 13 in the church. Youth kick off the new church year with the Reverends Jered and Craig who will lead a Liturgy Training for Readers, Crucifers, and Acolytes in the Sanctuary. Pizza and prizes for church nerd trivia will be involved!
Sunday School (PreK-grade 5)
Resumes September 10: Sundays at 10am. Children gather at the Baptistry in Church during the Opening Hymn and go to Godly Play in the CYF Center or Whirl in the Green Room. We return to church before the Eucharist.
Youth Group (grades 6-12)
Resumes Sept 20: 1st and 3rd Wednesdays at 6:30pm. Snacks and drinks provided! The Rite 13 cohort meets downstairs in the CYF Center. The J2A cohort meets upstairs in the Green Room.

Faith Forums
Begin September 10: Sundays at 9am in the Fireside Room and on Zoom. Covering topics such as building community, prayer, scripture, praise, service, and justice, we’ll explore various spiritual practices and ways to begin/expand them in our daily lives. Click here to join virtually.
Gospel of Mark Bible Study
Begins September 13: Wednesdays at 6:30pm in the
Fireside Room. Mark has a distinctive vision of Jesus which we’ll explore together, using a different lens or method of interpretation each week. For more information contact Rev. Craig Lemming
Deep Dive Bible Study
Resumes October 5: Thursdays in the Library following Compline (approx. 7:30pm). A laid-back, nourishing engagement with scripture, where we take the time to dig into the text. No weekly preparation needed. Come anytime. Email Dr. Judy Stack for more details.
Wayfinder Series
Six Sundays beginning October 8 at 11:30am in the Fireside Room and on Zoom These classes cover the foundations of the Christian faith, the beliefs and practices distinctive to the Episcopal Church, and what it all means for our life at St. John’s. Great for newcomers; strongly recommended for anyone preparing for a sacrament; and useful for longtime parishioners to refresh their understanding of our tradition!
