Nine years ago, Lois Knutson started the Capital City Grief Group to help people process their grief. The group meets year-round, moving between different churches and organizations. St. John’s has been blessed to share our building with them for a number of years, and will be hosting them again this year: Thursdays from 5:30-7pm, May 1–July 31, in the CYF Center (the lower level below the worship space).
Every week, a guest speaker will share their professional knowledge on grief and loss, or their personal experience with the death of a loved one. Following the presentation, the gathering breaks out into small group meetings, to provide an opportunity to connect and share caring support with others experiencing a similar loss.
