To stand against hateful rhetoric and demonstrate a caring spirit, we are again participating in the Minnesota Council of Churches’ campaign and offering signs you can put in your yard to support our Muslim neighbors during their holy month of Ramadan (May 15-June 14). The signs read: “To Our Muslim Neighbors: Blessed Ramadan.”
To participate: After church on Sunday May 6 and 13, pick up your sign from Dave Borton in the narthex. A $10 donation is requested to cover the cost, but not required.
You can also download a free PDF to print out at home and put in your window: Blessed Ramadan (PDF)
“Taking Heart” Iftar Dinners
During the month of Ramadan (May 15-June 14 this year), local mosques and Islamic Community Centers welcome their non-Muslim neighbors for the traditional meals that break the day-long Ramadan fast. This long-standing program by the Minnesota Council of Churches helps people of different faiths get to know each other over a meal and conversation. Click here to learn more about the program, or click here to see the list of dinners and sign up.
