On Wednesday, May 18 at 7:30 pm, pianist Osip Nikiforov will perform. Known to St. John’s as our featured performer for the Piano Celebration events, he returns to play his program for the San Antonio International Piano Competition this June, where he is one of only twelve pianists invited to compete. In response to the current world situation, he is playing the first of Prokofiev’s Three War Sonatas for Piano. His thirty-five-minute program will be followed by a “Meet the Performer” question-and-answer session.
