Bringing Faith to Life at Interfaith Action
“We listen when we are in a space together, when we are in the *flesh* together.”
“We listen when we are in a space together, when we are in the *flesh* together.”
“Now that another school year is underway, we can reflect on a beautiful summer filled with activities and learning.”
Thirty-one faith communities came together this month to donate 446 backpacks full of school supplies.
“As a pastor and organizer, I have seen the power of faith communities wrapping their arms around the right thing at the right time; it can absolutely transform a neighborhood. Interfaith Action itself was born from this very dynamic!”
“After the pre-schoolers have run around a bit, they become intrigued with what the old ladies are doing and come over to ask questions. “
” It has been a frustrating slow process lately because of heavy rains in the area. But I’m happy to say that construction work has been finished and the first patients were seen in the space on April 24!”
“While the need for our services has grown – 166% increase in families served in shelter and 45% growth in food shelf demand – we see change happening every day at Interfaith Action. Thank you for being with us as volunteers, donors, and faith partners.”
“We were saddened that Anthony could not travel but were so grateful for the personal video that Anthony prepared for us in his absence. The clinic is thriving under his leadership, and great things are happening in Uganda thanks to St. John’s Clinic Kayoro!”
“If Mr. Ochieng had not had access to the quality care at St. John’s Kayoro Health Center II, where he learned about his diabetic condition, he would have most likely died from his diabetic wounds. His healing has been seen by his family and friends as a miracle.”
“We give up things to create a space in which we can crack our hearts open. To let God transform us. Creation Care’s activities are in the same vein. On their own, they aren’t going to solve anything, but they can change hearts and get us moving in the direction to heal our planet.”
