The Gift of the Kingdom: Growing With Our Youth
Reclaiming the joy of church community does take effort. Forming a vibrant environment for our youth requires a conscious and challenging commitment to creating “safe space.”

Ruby Bridges is the subject of our sermon on Sunday, and we have an amazing story about her from our “Tell Me the Truth About Racism” curriculum.

It is such an honor to be a witness to the wonder, challenges, and growth of our young people.

We are looking at helping our children connect more deeply with our liturgical year by offering temporary, reusable, seasonal art installations that directly amplify liturgical seasons in a kinesthetic way.

“After hearing the story, the children were asked about the animals that God created and how we should care for all creatures.”

“It provides a method of discussion that the participants can carry with them as they think and rehear these stories that are so central to our faith.”

“Then the question comes, ‘What do you teach them?’ That is when I get the looks like I am absurd. Because I don’t teach them. They teach me. I grow more spiritually when I experience God through the eyes, ears, and minds of young people.”
