Meet New Member Caleb Moxley

by Judy Stack

Caleb Moxley moved to the Twin Cities during the pandemic and found his way to St John’s when in-person services resumed. An accomplished singer, he was looking for a church with excellent music. “Music has always been my easiest connection to God, and I sure felt—and continue to feel—that connection at St. John’s.”

Caleb grew up in rural Alabama and has lived in the southeast U.S. as well as the United Kingdom. Work brought him to Minnesota with his partner, Matthew. He still has family back home in Alabama but says, “I’m grateful that I’ve been lucky enough to also have met Minnesotans who I now count among my family.”

Caleb has many interests including volleyball, running, music, math, religious studies, and cooking. “I’d gladly yap away about anything to do with volleyball, early Christianity, Appalachia, or education policy—a real nerd here.”

At St John’s Caleb is particularly interested in finding connection and ways to contribute. “I increasingly feel that institutions like St John’s are our best bet at making our communities more just and livable. I want to be a part of that.”

Welcome, Caleb!
