“…So the purpose of God’s people, according to the Book of Exodus, and according to the 10 Commandments, is to build a different society that is not based on the oppressive economics of Pharaoh, but on the liberating economics of God’s love. That’s the purpose of God’s people according to the Book of Exodus. And really the entire remainder of the scriptures all the way to the end of Revelation is essentially wrestling with the question of: how do we do that? How can we best be an alternative society that in the midst of a world that’s governed by the economics of Pharaoh, we embody God’s liberating economics of love?“
At the meeting of elected bodies in January of 2025, Bishop Craig Loya presented the vision for our collective work moving forward, and the ways that the Diocese partners at all levels of leadership to help move that vision forward.
