Susan and her husband, Howard, began looking for a new church community last summer. They wanted a place that focused on inclusion, was committed to equity and justice, and that expressed the love of Christ both in its liturgy and its community. The first person she met was Keith Davis. He introduced her to Jered and was so welcoming that she kept coming back. They have an adult son, Patrick, with cerebral palsy, and she is particularly passionate about advocating for people with disabilities.
Her family moved to Minnesota from the east coast in 1993. Her husband works at 3M and she has worked in hotel food and hospitality. She has a background in jazz music and loves to garden and cook. Her garden is filled with decorations, including peace poles and little figures hidden under foliage.
She is already involved with the hospitality committee, and she is interested in becoming a reader at some point and helping with Altar Guild.
