Music Sunday Eucharist
Sunday, June 9 at 10am
Join us as we celebrate another season of sacred music at St. John’s! The choir will be joined by The Copper Street Brass Ensemble, The Artaria String Quartet, pianist Susan Billmeyer, and St. John’s organist-in-residence Dean Billmeyer. Arrive early to hear a chamber music prelude for piano and strings at 9:30am. The liturgy will begin at 10am. 

Association of Anglican Musicians (AAM) Conference Closing Eucharist
Thursday, June 13 at 10:30am in the Church and on YouTube
St. John’s is honored to host the Closing Eucharist for AAM’s National Conference, and everyone is invited to attend! The liturgy includes music from St. John’s Choir and the Copper Street Brass Ensemble.

Sunday, May 26 at 8am & 10am – Honoring Thurgood Marshall, with guest preacher Jimmie Brickson, Circle of the Beloved alum.
Sunday, June 23 at 8am & 10am – Honoring Bernard Mzeki, with guest preacher and dancer Peace Madimutsa.
Sunday, July 28 at 8am & 10am – Honoring Sojourner Truth, with guest preacher the Rev. Dr. Alika Galloway.
Sunday, August 25 at 8am & 10am – With guest preacher Keith Davis.

Episcopal Night at the Twins

Minnesota Women‘s Ordination Celebration
Friday, July 26 at St. Mark’s Cathedral
All Minnesota Episcopalians are invited to join in a day of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the ordination of women in the Episcopal Church, led by a cohort of women clergy from around the diocese. History displays and videos will be available for viewing during the festivities.

4:30pm: Panel Discussion
5pm: Picnic on the St. Mark’s Lawn

Faith Formation

Faith Forum Series: “Celtic Christianity: Then & Now”
Sunday, May 26 and Sunday, June 2 at 9am in the Fireside Room and on Zoom >>
The Rev. Ernie Ashcroft will lead this two-part series. In part one (May 26) we’ll learn the main features, events, and leaders of Celtic Christianity in the early centuries. Then in part two (June 2) we’ll explore expressions of Celtic Christianity today, with an emphasis on the Iona Community.

Garden Conversations: “Deepening Friendships”
Every other Sunday at 11:30am beginning June 16 in the Holly Garden
Deep, authentic relationships are key to growth in Christian discipleship and the health of our wider communities. We will look at our need for deepened relationship connections and get some practical direction for skills and habits that create significant relationship connections.
