Mission Statement: Through our Faith in Action Commission, St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church advocates for hunger relief, safe housing, and accessible health services. Guided by the Millennium Development Goals (as established by the United Nations and endorsed by the Episcopal Church USA), we embrace this mission through local and global partnerships, personal service, supportive prayer, and financial contributions.
St. John's strives to connect farmers with food shelves to help families put nourishing, fresh, and plentiful food on their tables. Healthy bodies and healthy minds help children stay in school.
Having a safe place for your family to put their heads at night is critical for spiritual, mental, and physical health. St. John's works with emergency agencies to help combat homelessness.
Access to health care is imperative to caring for our neighbors and ensuring the next generation is ready to take on the world. St. John's fulfills the needs of families locally and around the world.
