Donate to Fight Local Hunger
The St. John’s-Holy Apostles Farmers’ Market runs in the parking lot of St. John’s every Sunday morning starting at 9am, June through mid-October.
This joint effort brings farmers from the Hmong parish of Holy Apostles Episcopal Church to sell fresh produce to the Summit Hill/Ramsey Hill neighborhood each summer. It is a great alternative to the large, busy farmers markets in the city.
Volunteers Make it Happen
Every week, volunteers are needed to greet visitors at the market, help the farmers, or to take produce to First Nations Kitchen. Sign up here for the 2022 market season.
The Fields to Families branch collects donations at the Market each and uses those funds and others from St. John’s to provide direct assistance to our hunger relief partners, such as First Nations Kitchen for their Sunday evening meal and food shelf giveaway, and Hallie Q. Brown Community Center weekly truck deliveries.
Visit Wana & Teng’s Farm
Sunday, July 24 at 2pm, Farmers’ Market sellers Wana and Teng have graciously invited us to visit their farm near Forest Lake. We can bring a picnic and lawn chairs to enjoy the afternoon. Anyone interested should contact Barbara Lindeke for more details.
A generous anonymous donor has pledged a $1,500 matching gift for our Fields to Families ministry, which buys fresh produce from the Farmers’ Market each week and delivers it to our local hunger relief partners. Help us match our side of the gift! You can donate directly at the market or on our website here.
