Agenda for Tuesday, March 3 meeting
Quote from Guest on February 26, 2026, 2:51 pmSally (Sand) will lead this meeting with the following agenda:
1) We will consider the question: "How is it with your soul, and what are you doing to nurture it?”
2) We need a mechanism to “chat” with one another that does not require us to use the Gmail “respond to all” function. With over 70 of us on this email list, responding to all can quickly overwhelm an In Box. Our attempts with a kiosk to address the chat needs did not suffice. Terri Fishel has made us aware of a St John’s-sponsored online forum for our group, and she is working with Ebby to get this launched. We will hear more about this at our meeting.
3) Patty Byrne Pfalz will introduce Althea Lankford, who is in charge of the Food Shelf and Clothing Closet at Hallie Q Brown, our primary partner in the Rondo neighborhood. Althea will fill us in on volunteer opportunities at HQB.
4) We’ll discuss our Spring Brunch. We’ve reserved the St John’s Gym for Saturday, May 2, for the event — timing will be 10 - noon, with coffee on at 9:30. As before, we’ll ask attendees to bring an entree, salad or pastry and RSVP directly to Sally at [email protected] or 651-587-1032. Gratefully the sound system in the Gym is much improved since we last used that space for a gathering.

From yesterday's Godly Play sermon on Ruby Bridges by Shelley, we learned how Ruby prayed before setting off for school each day (praying for those who were jeering at her) and how she then felt close to God. May we all be able to pray and feel God close at this time.
