I have always thought of Jesus as someone with arms outstretched. True, he was on the cross, but also, he had a welcoming embrace. Children can grow up to be adults with outstretched arms, to know suffering, but also to know that they are not alone.
“But before all this occurs, they will arrest you and persecute you; they will hand you over to synagogues and prisons, and you will be brought before kings and governors because of my name. This will give you an opportunity to testify.”
“So to love myself, I must look beyond myself—and find Jesus. Can I see Jesus in others? Can others see Jesus in me? What comes around goes around.”
