2nd and 4th Sundays from 11:30am-1pm in the Fireside Room

Over 6 Sessions we will explore together how to discern God’s leading, particularly in times of transition or vocational reevaluation. Led by ordained and lay leaders from St John’s. Light lunch and refreshments will be served.

Session 1 on June 14 – Together we will learn about discernment as a lifelong habit.

Session 2 on June 28 – The Rev. Dr. Craig Lemming will lead us in practices that help us notice where God has been present and we have experienced moments of “the holy” in our lives. 

Session 3 on July 12 – Bette and Ernie Ashcroft will help us explore our gifts and how the things that energize us and make us “light up” and can help us sense the direction God is calling us.

Session 4 on July 26 – “Pray always” – Building a devotional liturgy for your life, we will explore our the wide variety of possible elements that we can incorporate in building our own personal “liturgies” for daily times of devotion and prayer that are nourishing, flexible, and most of all DOable. and how the things that energize us and make us “light up” and can help us sense the direction God is calling us.

Session 5 on Aug 9 – Scripture: profound words that can light our path

Session 6 on Aug 23 – What do we do next? Going forward in discernment
