Blessing of the Animals
Sunday, October 4 at 4pm
Bring your beloved pets or stuffed animals for a blessing; if you have lost an animal companion, please bring a photo for a prayer of remembrance. The service will conclude with a reception with treats for animals and refreshments for humans.

September 13: A discussion on Creation Care and “Living Water” grounded in Ezekiel 47:9,12.
September 20 and 27: Award-winning author, ELCA Lutheran pastor, and veteran journalist the Reverend Angela Denker will offer a two-part presentation on Reckoning with White Christian Nationalism: Repentance, Conversion, and Reconciliation.
October 4: Led by a speaker from AnimalFolksMN, whose mission is to protect animals and prevent cruelty through constructive and sustainable reforms of the MN criminal and civil justice systems.
October 11 and 18: The history of advocacy at ECMN and St. John’s, and how those legacies intersect with social justice today.
October 25: Exploring themes emerging from our work with ISAIAH and the Love Out Loud project.
November 1: Celebrating and Supporting St. John’s Music Ministry.
November 8: Bible Study With Art: Dwelling in God’s Goodness, Truth, and Beauty.
November 15 and 22: Spiritual Practices that Keep Us Clothed in Our Rightful Minds.
Episcopal 101

BCP? Liturgical Calendar? Three-legged stool? What’s all this about? Come and explore the ideas and practices of the Episcopal church. Folks new to St. John’s and/or the Episcopal tradition are especially encouraged to attend, but all members will get a lot out of the discussion!
