Joining the St John’s Discussion Forums
Quote from Jill Thompson on July 9, 2026, 11:05 amHello Women’s Group,
What a wonderful gathering in the Fireside Room on Tuesday evening. Mary’s opening prayer encouraged us to “do the hard thing.” And sharing our stories of what we were doing on July 7, 1996 (30 years ago!) allowed us to see where we indeed have known ourselves to do exactly that. We sent our virtual love to Chris Visonhaler as she brings Beowulf to the International Medieval Congress. Betsy shared her work with an important project that will assist BIPOC communities in accessing early voting. Be on the lookout for “I will vote” buttons.
And what a joy to meet Clover, and to hear her story of wanting to be an artist. The group reminded us that Makers Space happens every other Saturday, right here at St John’s.
AND Sally Sand reminded us about the online Discussion Groups. Thanks to Terri Fishel and Ebby Watkins for getting them started.
I got home, pulled out my iPad, went to stjohnsstpaul.org, then MEMBERS, then DISCUSSION GROUPS. There’s a link to “Register.” Luckily I remembered my SJE username. I set a new password, and voila! I’ll be happy to walk others through the process.I’m so thankful for the opportunity for any of us who identify as a woman to come together in community.
