Wednesday, April 15, 2026 1:00 PM - 4:30 PM CT
Christ Lutheran Church on Capitol Hill, 105 University Ave W, Saint Paul, MN 55103
We have shown that Minnesotans across race, class and zip code will courageously protect and fight for their neighbors. This commitment was forged under painful circumstances. The passage of the big terrible federal law (OBBA) on July 4 2025 led to harmful cuts to SNAP/Medicaid, historic tax cuts for the wealthy/large corporations, the funding of Operation Metro Surge and the authoritarian regime overall. To advance our People's Agenda and build the future we deserve, we need to tax corporations / very wealthy so our families can afford their lives and our communities have what they need to live with dignity. The stakes of this are high. Without significant new funding, we could lose our largest public hospital in the state - HCMC. We could miss our opportunity to dramatically make childcare more affordable in the years to come. Now is the time to push back, speak out and demand that our elected officials lead to fund our futures and put people over profits!
At 1pm we start at Christ Lutheran on Capitol Hill then head to the MN State Capitol Building for lobby visits! Please register so we can try to have a visit scheduled with your legislator (no guarentees!)

An Invitation To Action TAX DAY—WEDNESDAY, APRIL 15, 2026
Dear Lexington Landing Neighbors:
Many of us believe our tax dollars should be spent to build and sustain communities
where everyone is included and everyone can thrive. To
pay for things like health care, food, housing and child care.
Tax day is a time to speak out – here are two ways to make your voice heard:
Join a Tax Day Rally - corner of West 7th St. and Lexington Pkwy, 5 to 6 pm on April 15.
We will carry signs and raise our voices, with our hopes and demands for a better future for all.
Sign-making materials available on Monday, April 13, at 3:45 pm in the Terrace II MPR.
Short, pithy slogans are encouraged, such as:
Taxes for People’s Needs
People’s Taxes 4 People’s Needs
For information contact: Ginny Jacobson at [email protected]
From 5-6pm on Wed Apr 15 at the Corner of West 7th Street and Lexington Pkwy | Join a Tax Day Rally to Shine a Light on Corporate Greed (read and share this flyer)

24-Hour Prayer Vigil at HCMC
📅 Thursday, April 30
📍 Hennepin County Medical Center
Access to care shouldn’t depend on income or insurance. But HCMC, Minnesota’s largest safety-net hospital, is on the brink of financial collapse. Sign up for a 3-hour shift at the 24-Hour Prayer Vigil to pray and call on elected officials to save this critical resource for all Minnesotans.
The Gospel Demands More Rally
📅 Thursday, May 7 • 10 AM - 12 PM
📍 Minnesota State Capitol
The gospel calls us to feed the hungry, care for the sick, welcome the stranger, and love our neighbors. But right now, the Trump Administration is cutting our healthcare, slashing our food assistance, sowing fear, and disappearing Minnesotans. Join us at the Minnesota State Capitol as we call on state lawmakers to stand up for us amid federal cruelty.
