The story of the disability rights movement in America is a powerful journey of inclusion, of solidarity across lines of difference, and of what it truly means to see each and every person as made in the image of God.
Crip Camp: A Disability Revolution is an entertaining and funny, yet very vulnerable and insightful, Sundance-winning documentary about the beginning of the disability rights movement, told by those who made it happen. St. John’s Vestry invites you to a screening of the film on Wednesday, July 15 at 6:30pm in the CYF Center (aka the Undercroft). There will be discussion afterwards led by Bob Baumann and Susan Creel. Snacks and beverages will be served.
(The film is rated R for language and some sexual references; please note this if deciding whether it is appropriate for your children or youth to come along.)
